Great experience with First Coast Roofing. We had a small leak from an exhaust vent pipe in the roof and called to get an estimate and repair any damage. Nathan was incredibly punctual and knowledgeable. He gave us a rough estimate and had his team come out early the next day to repair the issue. The workers were both friendly and fast. They had the roof fixed quickly and it looked amazing. If you have any roof issues or problems First Coast Roofing is THE company to call in the St. John’s area!

We used First Coast at the recommendation of our property manager. We live out of state and were not looking forward to the stress and trouble of remote home repairs, but with water dripping into the garage, it was no longer optional. It was well past time to replace the roof, truth be told, so we didn't bother with much discussion about spot repairs. At first, we were nervous about using this company because it's relatively new. The problem that I had in *not* using these folks is that they beat the other estimates I had in hand, and not by a little, either. I'm not particularly interested in throwing good money away, but I'm also not interested in dealing with some sort of fly-by-night operation, either. That's a conundrum. So I called them up, and Nathan himself called me right back. He probably talked to me for an hour over the next few days, and, among other things, I learned that he's by no means new to roofing - he's just new to Jacksonville, having moved there to stay because of family nearby. Between our conversations and the glowing recommendation from the property manager (okay and the price - that's nothing to sneeze at), I was comfortable moving forward, and I'm incredibly glad that I did. He handled everything that he could handle. We had to sign for the permit and get an original signature mailed back to him, but really the only other job we had was picking a shingle color. He sent me pictures of his own completed projects so I could see the options "in real life," not just on the photos from the shingle company's web site. We got HOA approval, scheduled a date, and even with unavoidable weather delays the job was still finished within a couple of days of the original completion date. He put in an entire roof with less of my time and trouble invested than it took just to get a solid estimate out of some other companies. My husband and I know nothing about roofing. We could climb up there and walk around all day and, absent a gaping hole, we'd never know if it's decent work or not. All we know is that it looks good. Our manager, however, DOES know good work when he sees it, and well, there's a reason he recommends Nathan over and over. We're happy with the look, and the people who know what they're doing are happy with the quality. I am, as you might hypothesize from my name, a woman, and Nathan gave me no nonsense whatsoever. This is not my first rodeo with renovation and repairs, and I can tell you from repeated experience that it is not at all uncommon for folks in construction-related fields to treat women like they don't have good sense. I had none of that with Nathan. Zero. He explained everything completely and answered every last question, sometimes twice, and not once did he patronize or talk down to me. My husband handled the financial end of the transaction, and Nathan was equally kind and helpful when it came to getting the bill paid. Every new company has to start somewhere, and if they're going to stay around, somebody has to give them a chance. In this case, giving Nathan an opportunity to show us what he and his crew can do paid massive dividends in terms of the quality and value of the work, yes, but also in the sheer lack of headaches in the process.
